Wintry Precipitation Finally Ends

Posted

Precipitation has been decreasing in coverage this afternoon. This trend will continue tonight, but the clouds will be a little harder to shake. There will still be enough lingering moisture that some patchy freezing drizzle will be possible overnight. We are also tracking temperatures to drop below freezing. Any residual water on roads and sidewalks may result in slick spots.

Clouds will continue to hang tough Monday. Temperatures will struggle to warm beyond the low to mid 30s. High pressure will finally take over and sunshine will return Tuesday. We are tracking a gradual warm up through late week. Friday’s high will be near 50 degrees. The end of the week will also bring chances for rain. The bigger weather story will come next weekend as we dive deeper into winter. Much colder temperatures and the potential for snow are in the StormTracker Forecast.
