A Balmy, Spring-like Stretch Ahead

The groundhog sure knew what we all needed to hear and see. The bitter cold has been replaced with warmer, spring-like temperatures. We are some 20-degrees warmer than yesterday, when temperatures finally rose above freezing. This balmy stretch will continue through the end of the upcoming week with highs in the 50s, even the lower 60s! It looks like Phil’s forecast is being fulfilled right away.

Along with the unseasonable warmth, rain chances are on the rise early next week. Isolated showers will be possible both Monday and Tuesday. The chances ramp up mid-week as a more progressive system marches closer. A thunderstorm or two will be possible as a cold front pushes through on Thursday. This same boundary will also send us back to “normal” for early February. Temperatures return to the 40s next weekend. I guess you can’t completely trust a forecasting rodent.
