Enjoy your day off Thursday. It will be a rare partly sunny and dry afternoon with cool highs around 50°. We’re keeping an eye on an increasing threat for heavy rain, flooding & severe storms this weekend. A potent low will track northeast into the Great Lakes slinging more heavy rain our way. Showers, storms and torrential rain will swamp the Commonwealth Friday night into Saturday. With the ground saturated flooding will be likely. In addition, a strong cold front will spark a round of severe storms Saturday evening with the highest threat over western counties.
