We’re starting off the weekend with a wintry shot of light, slushy snow and a wet, potentially slick commute. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the Bluegrass until 10 AM Friday and until noon for eastern counties. Rain and snow will wind down late Friday morning with a mostly cloudy and chilly afternoon with highs in the 40s.

Another round of active weather fires Saturday with a one-two warm front/cold front combo. Showers and storms are likely with highs soaring to the upper 50s to low 60s. Watch for strong storms with gusty wind Saturday afternoon & evening. The highest threat for severe storms will stay over far western Kentucky.
