Happy first day of spring! The Vernal Equinox occurs at 5:58 PM, officially marking the start of spring.

The first *full* day of spring won’t be quite as pleasant as today. A low will cut across the Lower Great Lakes, dragging a cold front through the Commonwealth. Showers will arrive late tonight and remain with us Thursday. The majority of the rain will be on the light side; it will be more of a nuisance than anything. Clouds and showers will keep us cool with highs in the lower 50s.

Another cold front, this time moisture-starved, will arrive Friday. This pair of cold fronts will keep high temperatures seasonal, if not slightly below-normal through Saturday. But it’s all about timing. Right on schedule some nice springtime weather will arrive this weekend. Temperatures will rise from the low 50s tomorrow to the mid, even the upper 60s by Sunday. Oh, and this weekend looks to be dry once again!
