March will go out like a crabby lion. The weekend starts of warm and wet. More rain is heading our way Saturday along with the potential for some gusty thunderstorms. But that’s not the only thing that we’re tracking this weekend.

A cold front will slice through the area Saturday night. Temperatures will crash. After seeing highs in the mid to upper 60s during the day, temperatures will plummet close to the freezing mark by Sunday morning. The front will also push out the precipitation, but there might be just enough hanging around on the tail end for a little rain/snow mix, even pure flakes to fly. No accumulation is expected. Sunday will be the polar opposite. We will be drier with late-day sunshine but it will be much colder with highs only in the mid 40s!

Things settle down after the unsettled weekend. Sunshine and a warming trend will dominant the forecast through most of next week. Highs will climb back near 70° just in time for the opening of the Spring Meet and the Legends season. A few showers will try to sneak in next Friday. Outside of that get set to enjoy a splendid start to April!
