It has been so far so good today. Going through this evening there will be window for a quick shot of strong thunderstorms as a cold front rumbles through the Ohio Valley. Strong to borderline severe storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and small hail. The threat will diminish closer to midnight.

Behind the front, temperatures will take a big hit. After seeing highs in the 70s today, we will start Sunday with temperatures near the freezing mark. There may be enough lingering precipitation for some flakes in the morning across eastern counties. Sky conditions will improve as the day wears on. It stays blustery and cold despite the return of sunshine during the afternoon. Highs will only manage the mid 40s. That’s a 25-degree drop!
