We are in the midst of some of the best weather of the spring so far. Tomorrow could take a crack at the warmest day of the year. Highs are expected to soar close to 80 degrees. The last time we reached 80 degrees was six months ago. Besides being very warm, the wind will pick up tomorrow with gusts around 30 mph. Skies will be on the way to becoming cloudy by late-day.
Temperatures will start cooling off thanks to rounds of showers and thundershowers into early next week. The first round will be around during the first part of Friday. This round will be associated with the massive season-splitting system that is moving through the heartland today, bringing severe weather and blizzard conditions. Most of Saturday will feature a break. More showers and storms will be possible on Sunday, which will bring a bigger cool down on Monday. Off and on showers remain in the forecast next week as temperatures remain spring-like.
