Here comes an above average but dreary April weekend bookended by showers and t-showers. Expect the heaviest rain & highest storm chance Sunday. Kentucky’s severe storm threat fires up late in the weekend after active weather across the deep south Saturday. The Bluegrass and eastern counties are under an enhanced risk for severe storms Sunday, damaging wind and isolated tornadoes.

Our Friday through Sunday rain potential will come in multiple rounds- the heaviest late in the weekend & climbing as you head west. Expect 1″ to 2″ on the high end. Highs will stay in the upper 60s to low 70s.
