Today is the day to go to Keeneland or get your yard work done. For the most part we will stay dry, an isolated shower could pop up across southern and southeastern Kentucky today. Otherwise skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs near 70°.

Tomorrow will be more active with chances for strong to severe thunderstorms. A potent low will race out of Texas towards Kentucky by Sunday morning. A morning round of strong storms and heavy rain will be possible. There will be a mid-day break before another round fires off during the afternoon. This batch of storms could feature damaging winds, hail, more heavy rain, and possibly a spin-up tornado or two. The severe potential will diminish once the cold front passes around sunset. Any remaining showers will exit through the night.
