We are about to take a ride on the famous Kentucky weather roller coaster. This ride will take us from feeling like the beginning of summer to winter again. Boo! So do your best to soak up the remaining warmth and sunshine today.
Beginning late tonight showers and storms will move into the area as a low surges out of Arkansas. There may be a stronger storm that tries to move through southern Kentucky, but for most of us locally heavy rain will be the biggest issue. The wind will remain gusty through the night. The biggest change of all with come with temperatures. After being close to 80° today, we’ll dip into the 50s by tomorrow. The chill will dig in farther as a big upper-level low makes itself comfortable across the Ohio Valley. Highs on Saturday likely won’t make it out of the 40s. Damp, showery conditions will stick around with the low still in the neighborhood. Fortunately things will improve for Easter Sunday as sunshine and the 70s make a glorious return.
