We are entering the more active side of springtime weather. Looking at the 8 Day Forecast you will notice the thunderstorm icon appears almost daily. Yes, there are chances for showers and storms every day for the next eight days, BUT some of those days will feature more dry times than others. Take today for example, we have a 30% chance for showers and thundershowers. Any activity that blossoms late today will be isolated; for the most part the remainder of the day and the area are looking just fine. Later tonight and tomorrow will be a different story.

Showers with isolated thundershowers will arrive this evening and continue through the night. Tomorrow will carry chances for widespread showers with scattered thunderstorms. Some rain could be heavy at times. The activity will fizzle during the first half of Friday, leaving behind a pretty good looking afternoon. An isolated shower or storm could pop back up this weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be on par with our average highs near 70°. The trend of daily widely scattered showers and thunderstorms continues next week. We will also crank up the pre-summer heat with highs in the lower 80s starting on Tuesday and lasting through late week.
