Cooler and Mostly Good This Weekend

After getting off to a soggy start we have turned this day around. The sun is break through. It’s on the cool and windy side, but it seems like a fair trade. This will be a sign of what’s to come over the weekend. It will be the perfect time to open up the windows and air out the house. Tonight will get a little chilly with lows bottoming out in the lower 40s, maybe upper 30s in valley locations.

Your Saturday starts off with sun and ends with clouds. A little trouble will try and sneak in too. An Alberta Clipper-like system will dip through the Upper Midwest and western Great Lakes. There is the potential for late-April snow in cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Erie. This low will pass just far enough south to narrowly clip the Bluegrass. We won’t be talking about wintry weather but instead isolated showers and thundershowers will be late Saturday afternoon. Things quickly clear out Saturday evening.  Other than that, the weekend will feature a mix of sun and clouds and slightly cooler temperatures with highs in the low to mid 60s. Enjoy the cooler temperatures now. We’ll be cranking up the heat through Derby Week.
