Heat peaks the first day of May thanks to a gusty (25-35 mph) southwest wind. This could be our warmest day of the year so far with well above average highs soaring into the mid 80s. Lexington’s record high is 90° set back in 1951.

If you have grass to mow- get it done! Wednesday will also be our last dry afternoon for a while. Scattered showers and storms fire late this evening and overnight. The end of the week is still trending active and wet with rounds of showers and storms on and off Thursday and into your Derby weekend.
