After today the readings on the thermometer start trending down, while storm chances are on the rise. A few showers could sneak in later tonight, but the bulk of today’s activity will be near I-65. A parade of low pressure systems will roll through the area over the upcoming days. Scattered showers and storms will be around tomorrow with the potential for a few gusty or strong thunderstorms
Plan for periods of rain and storms if you will be heading to Churchill Down Friday or Saturday. When all is said and down between one to three inches of rain could fall. The rain will cool us down with highs near 70° for the Oaks and Derby Day.
