It’s been a close call so far today at Churchill Downs. Spotty showers and drizzle have popped up, but nothing has been too heavy or long lasting. That’s about to change. Steady rain files in throughout the afternoon, not just in Louisville but across the area. Locally heavy rain and thundershowers possible. Some of the heaviest rain will fall across eastern counties, where a Flash Flood Watch will go into effect. Between quarter and an inch of rain will be possible through Sunday morning.
