Not the Prettiest Weekend for Mom

We may be enjoying a break from the rain, but the clouds are still hanging tough. This will be the theme heading into the weekend. We will remain mostly dry through Saturday afternoon. So if there’s something you need to get done outside, there’s your window. A little impulse will try to spread showers across southern and southeastern Kentucky tomorrow morning. Once the rain returns it could be heavy at times, especially Saturday night. We are sitting on the northern edge of a soaking rain that will impact the Southeast. For us one to two inches of rain will be possible through Sunday. Unfortunately it won’t be the prettiest day for mom. Although we may get a few dry hours later in the day Sunday. And of course, just like last weekend, Monday will be dry and the sun will return.

Another part of the weekend forecast is the cool down. The summer-like heat that we felt on Wednesday is long gone and has been replaced with temperatures that are some ten degrees below-normal. Temperatures will continue to trend downward through early next week. Highs likely won’t make it out of the lower 60s Sunday and Monday. And some areas may be in the upper 30s when you step out Tuesday morning. The temperature trend does look to moderate after that.
