A line of gusty showers continues to weaken as it crosses I-65. This is just the first batch of precipitation that we could see today. Another round will fire up bringing chances for storms late this afternoon through the evening hours. The breaks in the clouds that we have been seeing will help to energize the atmosphere to develop a few strong storms. It will come as no surprise given the gusty conditions already today, damaging wind gusts are the main threat with any stronger storm.
A final batch of showers will pass through around midnight with the cold front. Skies will remain mostly cloudy through the rest of the night and the wind will gradually back off.
