Rounds of Rain and Storms

A slow-moving low continues to spin rounds of rain and storms. Some of the thunderstorms that are developing across southeastern Kentucky could be the strong side with damaging winds and hail. Additional heavy rainfall is expected area-wide.

Even though the cold front will clear tonight, the upper-level low will hang around Friday. This means scattered showers and storms will be possible again. The severe threat will be much lower. We may even squeeze in some sunshine before day’s end. Once this system is completely out of our hair we will see the return of mild temperatures, comfortable humidity levels, and sunshine on Saturday. Highs will be “seasonal,” in the lower 80s, for the first day of June. Another quick hit of scattered showers and storms will arrive on Sunday.
