The break from the rain sure has been nice today. We even squeezed in some sunshine. As the next round of showers and storms develops, activity will interact with the juicy air mass and more pockets of heavy rain will be possible beginning this evening.
The stacked low that has kept things soggy over the past few days will slowly wobble northward. As the center the low nears the Bluegrass, storms will have a hard time moving on. The localized heavy rain and flash flooding threat will continue. Rainfall totals may near an inch and a half through Sunday with localized higher amounts. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area through tomorrow night.
The unsettled stretch will begin winding down on Monday. Showers and storms will be followed up by drier and pleasant conditions. Temperatures will be seasonably cool next week with highs in the 70s. A mid-week disturbance will bring chances for isolated showers. Outside of that next week looks awesome!
