Our stagnant, unsettled pattern persists Tuesday- a flash flood watch continues with rounds of showers, storms and heavy rain still swamping the Commonwealth. We’ll see another midday break in the action after a very wet early Tuesday morning. Watch for more scattered showers and storms developing later in the afternoon into the evening. As wet as we’ve been (3″ to 4″+ over the last few days) any additional heavy rain will lead to an elevated threat for flash flooding. There are signs we’ll finally see changes this weekend but a cold front & strong to severe storm chance will be the catalyst Wednesday/Thursday.
