Heavy Rain Continues into Thursday

and last updated

Rain, rain go away! More off and on downpours and thunderstorms will roll through the Bluegrass into Thursday. Some storms could be on the strong to severe side this evening. Heavy rain and hail, along with some gusty winds will be possible. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 8 PM Thursday for most of central and eastern Kentucky. These additional showers and storms could lead to localized flash flooding, especially for areas that have already seen heavy rainfall this week.

Activity will begin winding down late in the day tomorrow. We’ll catch a one-day break from the stormy weather just in time for the start of summer. Another cold front will head our way over the weekend, bringing back chances for scattered showers and stormy.  It will also be warmer this weekend with highs in the mid-80s. Eventually, this stormy pattern will break as we get into next week. Some real nice summer days are on the way at the end of the 8-Day Forecast.
