Midweek Storm Threat

Posted

The flash flood watch is extended through Thursday evening- we’re capping off days of torrential rain with a chance for a few strong to severe storms late Wednesday into early Thursday morning. Damaging wind, hail and heavy rain will be possible with the highest threat west. Expect a weakening line of storms to track east overnight ahead of the cold front sparking it all.

The good news? That front will clear the Commonwealth and we’ll enjoy a rain and storm free Friday! A more typical summer setup takes over Saturday with high pressure southeast, highs in the 80s and scattered pm showers & storms.
