Thursday’s cold front finally cleared the Commonwealth and set us up for a nice Friday. The summer solstice occurs just before noon and for one brief, shining moment it’ll actually feel like it! Expect a partly sunny and dry afternoon with highs around 80°.
The problem for the weekend- that cold front is stalling, lurking and eventually creeping back our way and will be the focus for rounds of active weather. Storms diving southeast along a developing warm front blow through late Friday night into Saturday morning. A slight to marginal risk for severe storms is in place with the highest threat along and west of I-65 overnight.
