A few minor showers are showing up on the MaxTrack early this morning, but we have a long way to go. Showers will be present throughout the morning as clouds continue to increase. Right now, we’re partly to mostly cloudy with a warm morning start in the mid-60s.

Rain showers will be scattered through the morning with clouds overhead thanks to a sagging cold front. As the front lowers, we’ll get better chances for rain. Later this evening, a few rounds of thunderstorms will push through the state thanks to a passing low. Some of these storms will be strong and borderline severe. Wind gusts will be the main threat. Some hail is possible along with heavy downpours. Storms will wrap up around midnight and skies will clear for Monday morning. Some river valley fog is possible Monday morning, thanks to the added moisture from the rain. Our next shot at rain and storms will arrive with another system on Tuesday.
