The storm has passed and now we can get back to some nice weather, for a few days. Skies are starting out mostly cloudy, but the cold air in place has let temperatures drop down to freezing this morning. Temperatures are running cooler by 10-20 degrees after the cold front. Skies will begin to break as the sun comes up.
Yesterday’s precipitation event brought cold air and little else. Rain showers amounted to practically nil after the morning round and snow was even less. For those lucky enough to see flakes mix down, it was a sight to behold only until they hit the warm ground and melted on contact. Really, Saturday amounted to a blustery day under the clouds. Sunday will bring better weather. Clouds will break as the sun is coming up letting more rays through. Temperatures will start cold and end chilly. The sunshine will be nice though. Early week remains about the same with only a slight dip in temperatures thanks to a dry cold front Sunday PM/Monday AM. Tuesday brings a little more action with a small low developing over the Lower Mississippi River Valley. The low will up cloud coverage for most on Tuesday and try to bring in a round of rain and snow. As of now, it’s not looking like anything significant, with only trace amounts of snow and about a quarter inch of rainfall. More sun midweek before the next best chance for rain for the end of the week as temperatures warm to near 60 degrees again.
