We’re seeing the last of the rain showers move out of the state. Only a few spots of light rain or drizzle are left and very isolated. If you’re not under the drops, it’s cloud coverage that will be decreasing through the afternoon. Temperatures are running cool in the 40s for most, warming into the 50s for the late afternoon.
Clouds will decrease this afternoon as higher pressure builds. Some showers are still present, but they are light and very isolated. A few more may develop as the daytime heating increases, but the coverage will be minimal. Temperatures have been running cool thanks to the cold air mass in place, but also the extensive cloud coverage. We will warm into the mid-50s for the afternoon as the sun comes back out. Expect a cold morning start for Thursday which can be attributed the clear skies we will get. We should drop down into the mid to upper 30s for morning lows. Sunshine will hang around for the morning of Thursday. We’ll warm into the 60s with the sunshine and a nice southerly wind flow. A few isolated light pop-up showers are possible Thursday afternoon as cumulus build, but it will be a very small chance. Better chances for rain arrive Friday as the next cold front arrives.
