Break out the sunnies!

Nice all week.

Things have been nice all day with plenty of sunshine, despite temperatures running a little on the cool side. Temperatures were in the 50s and 60s most of the day with only a select few getting close to 70. This was a result of the late-weekend cold front which brought a few showers, but mostly fall air.

High pressure and a lack of storm systems in the region will be key in providing a seasonable and nice forecast for most of the week. Today was the introduction day into this forecast with clouds slowly clearing across the area. Clear skies overnight and the air mass in place will pull overnight lows down to near 40 degrees. Sunshine will continue through the week, even with a dry cold front expected around Wednesday. The front will not have moisture to work with, but it will bring the middle or upper 70s back down near 70 degrees on Thursday. Regardless, it will still be nice outside. The next best shot at rain will come with the remnants of tropical storm Delta. These are expected on Saturday. Most of what falls looks to remain below I-64 as the storm passes us well to the south. Afterwards, we’re back to sunshine and mild air for the end of the coming weekend and into next week.
