A couple of cold fronts have made for a nice-feeling early week. Dew point temperatures are running in the “comfortable” range for most. Temperatures have been running warm in the low to middle 80s. No rain to speak of on the MaxTrack, and none expected other than the occasional pop-up isolated t-shower.
Two cold fronts moved in over the weekend bringing a few active afternoons. The first was on Friday evening lasting into Saturday morning. Number two rolled in later in the day Sunday bringing a few potent thunderstorms. These fronts were never going to bring a huge temperature drop. That doesn’t happen often this time of the year. Instead, they were (and are) responsible for the comfortable feeling we will have for a few days. High temperatures will still reach the 80s each afternoon. However, the dew point temperature will remain in the low to middle 60s or even the upper 50s each afternoon. This means warm, but comfy for the early and middle part of the week. Temperatures will eventually warm back to and above normal, and with that the dew point temperatures will go up as well. Summer is not over…yet.
