Scattered rain chances will help us through our final work day this week. A few thunderstorms may even blow in a couple of strong wind gusts and heavy rain, but we will mostly see general thunderstorm chance tomorrow and Saturday. Then the heat and humidity REALLY get going this weekend. High temperatures will rise into the upper 80s and low 90s with dew point temperatures well into the mid 70s...making it feel like the mid 90s for most. By Sunday, we could be well into the mid 90s for highs with potential triple digit heat index values.
The ridge of high pressure will hold this same hazy, hot and humid pattern in place at least through mid-week. Have a plan to stay cool this weekend and next week. Be sure to stay hydrated, wear light weight and light colored clothing, sunscreen and take breaks in the A/C.
