The low pressure that is responsible for bringing in the heavy rain for the past day or so is still going to bring a few more issues this weekend. A Flash Flood Watch remains over central and eastern KY until 8 AM Saturday. Expect more soaking downpours at times tonight. If you have plans this evening be sure to have the umbrella around. The upcoming days will hold no shortage of action either as we have the potential to pick up not only more rain, but the chance to see some strong or even severe storms in the afternoon. Threat with any storms will not only include torrential rain, but also hail and damaging wind gusts.

Once the low is through we will see much calmer weather for the second half of our weekend and even better weather for Monday with low humidity and sunshine. The rain chance will then stay more isolated though much of the first few days of August. Cooler weather arrives on our doorstep by then too. High temperatures will remain in the lower 80s for a change all the way through next weekend.
