After the passage of today's cold front which brought rain, we have a nicer weather pattern returning as we head into a new work week. The cold front produced a few torrential downpours plus some higher wind gusts, but no damage was reported. Now that the front is through, we have sunshine returning for Monday and the best news....lower humidity! It may still be mid August, but we'll get a small taste of fall coming up as dew points are lowering into the upper 50s/low 60s instead of the low 70s. The more comfy air mass should stick around at least until Friday, but afternoon high temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s.
Rain chances will also be lower thanks to lower humidity and a weak high pressure moving in. Tuesday has the better chance to pick up some scattered showers especially in southern KY. More rain and storms will return again by late week possibly rolling into next weekend.
