It has certainly been very July 4th-like across the state today. Some reached highs in the low 90s like northern KY while others have been hanging out right around 90°. The warmth will continue into this evening as you prepare to view some fireworks. The warmth from today will send temperatures only down to about 80° by 10 pm, but at least the sun won't be beating down on you. The moon, however, will be full and bright. This month's full moon will occur tonight at 12:44 am (Sunday). You may also get to see a faint partial lunar eclipse.

The rest of the weekend looks fairly calm, but still hot with humidity picking up some. Dew points have been in the mid 60s since Thursday, but we'll see an slow increase in mugginess through tomorrow and into next week. That is also when rain chances make a comeback. Many will remain dry through tomorrow, but a better chance to see a few showers slides in for midweek. The heat doesn't look like it will let up anytime soon. The extended forecast has our high temperatures near 90 degrees through next weekend so stay cool. Have a wonderful Independence Day!
