It has certainly been a hot and humid weekend with high temperatures well into the mid 90s and feeling like the low 100s for some. The worst of the high pressure and heat will begin to move on and break down, and as that happens our chance for rain returns. The next couple of days leading into a new work week, rain and storm chances will ramp up as a cold front drifts near the Ohio River. We could see rain as early as tonight, but most of us will deal with some storms Monday afternoon/evening.

Every day this work week will hold at least the potential to give our grass a drink. Some of the rain showers could even be very heavy especially in thunderstorms. A few strong wind gusts can be anticipated too. The cold front will transition to a stationary boundary which will hold our weather pattern as more active all the way until next weekend. High temperatures will also remain in the upper 80s all week.
