A strong ridge of high pressure will be anchored over us this weekend sending our high temperatures into the mid 90s. The muggy and tropical air mass with dew points in the mid 70s will make it feel more like the upper 90s especially by Monday. Pockets of the state could even reach the triple digit heat index values this weekend. If you like the hot, you will have plenty of time to enjoy it, but the humidity can drain your energy quick. Make plans to be safe in the heat including limit time and work in the sun, drink water to keep hydrated, and keep your pets cool. A Heat Advisory will be issued if heat index values get up to 105°, but at this time that is not expected.
