As July rolls along, the heat and humidity stay in the forecast. High temperatures, under a high pressure today, will rise toward 90° again so prepare to take it easy in the heat. Humidity will stay up as dew points will hover in the low 70s. We've seen few rain and storms the past few days and that pattern will likely remain over us at least this weekend. There is hope for more rain next week and even a drop in temperatures coming soon!
The tropics are also becoming more active as Hanna will be making landfall in southern Texas later today as a Category 1 Hurricane...potentially Cat 2. We are also tracking some more action further east in the Atlantic as hurricane season ramps up a bit.
