After a wonderful-feeling past few days with sunshine, the weather pattern, once again, begins to shift as we move toward the upcoming weekend. Our next weather-maker is sitting south into the Tennessee Valley, but already increasing clouds here in southeast KY and also producing a few showers. Most of Kentucky has been dry, but the scattered shower activity will return starting tomorrow and last through Sunday. Along with the showers, a bit of heat and humidity is coming back. High temperatures will remain in the lower 80s through Saturday then make a jump into the mid 80s Sunday.
Summer, more or less, will stick around through much of next week with a drier pattern camping out at least Monday through Wednesday. The fall feeling will be put on hold as humidity will creep back up, too.
