Plenty of moisture is in store for us into the weekend. All of this moisture is part of a stationary boundary which has moved very little in the past 36 hours and is causing an rain or thunderstorm cell to also move very little, thus resulting in water levels running high for some. A Flash Flood Watch has been extended for central KY, southern KY and eastern KY until 8 am Saturday. These showers will be hit or miss, unfortunately, but those that see rain could quickly pick up half an inch or more in a short amount of time.
The rest of the weekend won't be quite as active, but there's still plenty of moisture to tap into. Scattered rain showers will be the trend for both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. After a cold front sweeps through Sunday, the humidity levels will take a nice drop. Next week will feel a lot better if you're tired of the heat.
