A few showers are showing up on the MaxTrack this morning as the cold front approaches. Rain is mostly light and isolated to scattered, but that will chance through the day. Otherwise, it’s cloudy, warm, and muggy. Temperatures reside in the low 70s or upper 60s this morning with a dew point temperature close to that. Wind is out of the south running about 5-15 mph.
As the front draws closer, showers will become more numerous. Scattered storms will be the case through most of the morning hours and into the early parts of the afternoon. Clouds will be thick through this time as well. Not everyone will see rain today, and it seems as if the southern and southeastern counties will have some of the better chances. Behind the heaviest of showers, there will be a few scattered light showers that will continue from the early to late afternoon for most. At this point we will also start to see a little late day sunshine as the drier air works in after the front. The next two days (Wednesday & Thursday) will be met with nice conditions. Partly cloudy skies and minimal rain chances, but also lower humidity. Summer heat, humidity and storm chances return for the weekend.
