Hard to beat a weekend like the one we just had, especially when summer is right around the corner. Heat and humidity will be back, but it will still take a few days. Thanks to the small wave last night, temperatures have been cooler by about 5 degrees this afternoon. We’ve only reached the low to middle 70s for most and dew point temperatures were in the 40s and even 30s this afternoon, meaning nothing but comfortable.
The work week will start out slow at first with changes, and then really ramp up as we move later in. Monday will bring a lot of the same; sunshine, warmth, and comfort. You’ll notice a few more clouds in the mix, especially later in the day. This is another small wave moving in that will *try* to bring us our first rain chance since last week. Clouds will build and hang overnight into Tuesday with the small wave. A few isolated light rain showers will roll over but remember that a lot of the surface air is pretty dry, so it’s unlikely much makes it to the ground. Clouds will decrease throughout the day Tuesday making for another nice-looking day, but the heat will be ramping up. We’ll touch the 80s again. A better chance for rain will arrive Early Thursday and last through the end of the week. A weak cold front will look to hover over the region, and just be a pest. Rain showers will be scattered in nature, and the heat of the day will allow thunderstorms to form in the afternoon. This lasts through Saturday, before the next high pressure ridge moves in and clears us out for the end of next weekend.
