Jackets for rain and cold needed.

Things are not boding well for the second to last home game of the 2019 UK football season. Still, die-hards will want to soak up every last bit of football they can and soak they will.

Well, I say that. It’s not going to be an all-out soaker, but showers will be hanging around. A passing low will move right over the Commonwealth today bringing round of showers and some cooler air as it passes. The low is slated to pass over us through the middle of today bringing the warmest temperatures around that time. The warmest temperatures expected in Lexington today will top out around 48 degrees early in the afternoon, before we start cooling.

The bulk of the rain will slide in late morning and early afternoon. The frequency of rain will diminish by game time, but scattered rain will continue. If showers line up over Lexington, a light to moderate round of rain will make things a bit uncomfortable, especially as temperatures are cooling.

As the game is wrapping up, showers will be dwindling across the area. Cloudy and cold will be the 4th QTR forecast as temperatures fall to just above 40 degrees. Roads will be slippery from the rain.
