The rain is finished, and the front has pushed through. This is evident from the mostly clear skies and cooler feeling to the air. Only a few cumulus are leftover. Otherwise, you’re seeing plenty of blue above you. Temperatures are cooler by 10-15 degrees across the region running in the low 60s or upper 50s. Wind is still cranking out of the west to 20 mph and gusts a little higher.

Before the rain left the Blue Grass Airport this morning, we did pick up 0.03.” Yesterday we picked up a little over three tenths of an inch. The Bluegrass ranged near 0.50” while southern counties ended with over an inch and up to nearly two inches. Now, things take a calm turn with high pressure. Plenty of sunshine will be available through the end of the week and temperatures will make a slow climb each afternoon and morning until Friday. Clouds increase ahead of a low hanging out around us. Rain will eventually move back in and looks to line up for the Saturday and Sunday time frame.
