Tracking calm and quiet this mornings with warm and humid conditions. Temperatures are running in the upper 60s to low 70s. Moisture is in the air this morning and instead of just feeling it, you’ll likely see it this morning if you’re in the river valleys during, and a little after sunrise. Use caution as visibilities will be low.

It’s already been a long stretch of warmer than average and muggy conditions, and it’s not going away anytime soon. Heat will again build to near 90 degrees with dew point temperatures residing in the low to mid 70s. This is a recipe for uncomfortable no matter how you look at it. The only relief will be inside with the air conditioner or in the pool, or other body of water. The heat and humidity last well through Labor Day and will encompass much of next week as well. We’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies each day until Wednesday with minimal rain chances. The next best chance for showers and storms will arrive at the end of the work week. Even with the increased cloud coverage and rain, temperatures will still be warm and humidity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
