We’re tracking temperatures in the 80s or upper 70s depending on where the rain has been recently. Scattered light to moderate rain is showing up on the MaxTrack Live Doppler. Otherwise, it’s partly sunny, hot and humid.

Temperatures remain in the upper 70s this afternoon, but that’s only because of cloud coverage and some rain earlier. Now that the rain is finished for a while, expect temperatures to warm again into the 80s before we close out the day. This 80+ degree temperature trend lasts for a while. High pressure in place southeast of the state will continue to keep cooler air masses away through at least next week. This means that any cold front that tries to cross the Ohio River will have little chance of arrival. That means we’ll be stuck in a summer-like, heat and humidity pattern for a while.
