The weekend started nicely with mostly clear skies, but as the heat of the day continues, we’re seeing more cumulus than blue up there. Due to this (and the abundant moisture) showers are starting to develop. We’re tracking mostly isolated rain showers with a few t-showers mixed in. Heavy rain and a few strong wind gusts are possible.

The summer weather pattern continues as temperatures flare up into the mid-80s. Dew point temperatures in the upper 60s low 70s is making it a bit uncomfortable as well. Regardless, if you are dreading the oncoming fall temperatures, then you should take advantage of this weekend. Temperatures are running nearly 20 degrees above average and the only damper will be a few isolated showers/t-showers, but that’s only if one lines up over you. This pattern continues through the middle of the work week. At that time, a strong cold front will deliver fall temperatures again to the Midwest. We’re looking at temperatures struggling to break 70 next weekend.
