Fall Weather Ahead

We’re tracking a calm and quiet morning, but that was not necessarily the case earlier. Overnight rain showers brought a washing to the cars as a small clipper moved through and dumped a little of the wet stuff. The MaxTrack is reading clear right now, but there may be a few light showers still out there, especially in the eastern counties. Otherwise, it’s mostly cloudy, but that will change soon too.

Summer weather is a thing of the past as we settle into a fall-like pattern. Temperatures will fluctuate from day to day, but we’re still going to be about 5-15 degrees below average for the extended period. Temperatures are running cool in the mornings and chilly to mild in the afternoons. Due to the little clipper overnight, temperatures will dip slightly today, meaning we will sit in the 40s most of the day. The good news though, is that we get plenty of sunshine in the middle of the day. We get warmer through the end of the weekend and next week, but it also comes with some rain. A warm front/cold front combo will take up the early week forecast and bring likely rain showers and a few thunderstorms along with it. This will give us a mid-week cool down so look for temperature fluctuations through that time frame.
