Not much in the way of change today as the sunshine continues. The only real difference is the apparent cool down thanks to the passing dry cold front yesterday. Temperatures started back down in the mid-30s this morning and the best we’ve hit this afternoon is the low or mid-50s. Sunshine remains, but changes will be starting soon.

We’re tracking changes to the forecast after three days of sun and mild temperatures. Cooler air has rushed in behind a dry cold front responsible for a 5-10 degree drop. Starting Thursday, the sunshine will begin to decrease as clouds move in. We’re going to be seeing our first rain drops since Saturday coming up at the end of the week. Starting Friday morning, the remnant energy of Hurricane Willa will have crossed Texas and the Mississippi River and will drop between 0.25 and 1.50 inches of rainfall between Friday morning and Saturday evening. Immediately behind that low, a low from Canada will dive south and bring in a cold front Sunday into Monday. An additional 0.25 to a 0.50 inch is expected with that front, but the bigger picture will show a big cool down. Temperatures will drop to near-freezing overnight, but ill only make the mid to upper 40s for afternoon highs.
