A Break In The Action Tomorrow

Things have calmed down after the minor snowfall this morning. As discussed, nothing stuck to the roads, but it was still a bit slippery as the snow melted. Both rain and snow are finished in most locations, and all we’re left with now is a lot of cloud coverage. Temperatures are cold, and will get very cold overnight.

Wednesday is shaping up to be a pretty good day. Cloudy skies will continue due to the next storm system getting close in proximity. We will see some sun, but it will be limited. Temperatures should warm a bit in the afternoon but you can still expect a chilly day. Wednesday night and Thursday will be one to pay attention to. As the next storm slides in temperatures will be near freezing at the surface. What this means for us is there is a chance for minor amounts of ice late Wednesday into early Thursday morning. Again, amounts will be minor, and generally less than 0.10.” Still, areas on roads may become increasingly hazardous until the ice can melt, which is expected through the late morning as temperatures rise above freezing. Be cautious and allow extra time for travel during Thursday morning’s commute.
