We continue to track mist/sleet/snow showers across Kentucky with a leftover moisture from the powerful low pressure system. Temperatures are hovering just above freezing, so roadways remain in decent condition. Wind is still up and gusting around 30 mph in some locations. The WIND ADVISORY has expired, but gusts will remain high through tonight.
The rain/wintry precipitation mix will continue through the evening and early morning, but will completely transition to snow as temperatures drop. Showers will be a lot like what they are now, scattered. Therefore, you may be fine on roads, or you may have to allow extra time. Use caution as roads will be slippery despite the melting of the frozen precipitation. We’ll have more information coming up on LEX 18 News tonight.
