As we move closer to midweek, changes continue to occur. Today has been relatively the same as yesterday, with a cold morning start and mild afternoon temperatures. Clouds are still abundant overhead as rain showers and storms are active across the Plains. Temperatures have been in the 40s most of the early afternoon and should reach the mid-50s if we see a few more breaks in the cloud coverage.

Other than a thin shield of clouds overhead, it’s been a dry and chilly day so far. A few breaks of sun were present throughout and we may see a few more. Temperatures will run in the upper 40s/low 50s for much of the afternoon, depending on where the clouds thin out. We will not see much in the way of rain today or tomorrow, but our time is coming. Warmer air will move in with breezy southerly conditions tomorrow. Windy conditions are expected Thursday as we continue to warm, both day and night. Temperatures are still expected to reach the low 70s Thursday before the front arrives. Rain showers and thunderstorms are expected through the day Thursday to go along with the wind and the warmth. We will start to decrease in temperatures as we wrap up the work week and enter the Saint Patrick’s Day Weekend.
